African "Turquoise" Matte Finish Stone Choker/Necklace, 8mm Matte Finish Natural Stone, Sterling Silver Clasp

These are 8mm Natural African "Turquoise" beads with a matte finish. There is a lot of black in these beads darkening the overall look. There are also tan and brown highlights throughout. Beads are strung on beading wire to a length of approximately just under 16 inches (40.64cm). Due to the size of the beads it will seem to hang a bit shorter than a regular 16 inch necklace. The necklace is finished with a sterling silver hook and eye style clasp. PLEASE NOTE: The clasp shown on this necklace is currently unavailable from my supplier, and the one I currently have is sterling silver, but slightly smaller. Please see last photo.
African "Turquoise" is not turquoise stone. It is a type of jasper found in Africa and is sometimes dyed to achieve a turquoise-like color. Enhancing its role as a turquoise substitute is its matrix, which also resembles turquoise matrix.
African turquoise is called the ‘Stone of Evolution’, and is said to bring encouragement for growth, development and positive change within life itself.
